We’ve been buzzing about the shop this month, with holiday shoppers eagerly searching for the perfect present. New releases have also hit our shelves, and we thought we’d highlight a few for those of you who have procrastinated shopping or just haven’t known where to begin.

  • Seeing Stars: A Complete Guide to the 88 Constellations (Sara Gillingham) - A lovely compilation of stories and guides to the celestial shapes in the sky that have fascinated humans for centuries.

  • The Good Neighbor: The Life and Work of Fred Rogers (Maxwell King) - A biography of the beloved creator of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The empathy and kindness he taught to children remain important lessons for adults today.

  • Once Upon a River (Diane Setterfield) - Mystery, folklore, and romance set in old England. Setterfield’s newest novel has received rave reviews.

  • Magic City Cravings and Alabama Cravings (Martie Duncan) – Two recently released cookbooks focus on food in the Yellowhammer state. Magic City Cravings is organized by neighborhoods and highlights food around Birmingham. It includes recipes from Saw’s, Nabeels, Chez Fonfon, and more.
