If you’ve been around Homewood for a while, chances are you’ve been on Saulter Road. Local author, Joan Kendall, has written a memoir of growing up on Saulter Road in the 1950s called Secrets on Saulter Road. With remarkable honesty and wit, Kendall explores her upbringing in the prim and proper segregated South with an outrageously unpredictable and destructive alcoholic mother. It’s a story of growth, resilience, and hope.
We hope to see you at Little Professor on Saturday June 1, from 4-6pm. Wine and snacks will be served.
